ITEM | Work flow | Caution |
---|---|---|
Cutting pipe | 1)Cut the pipe using pipe cutter | *Make sure the pipe shall be cut at right angles. |
Cleaning pipe |
2)Check the pipe for scratches and pollutions 3) Wipe off any dirt or dust on the pipe with a cloth or cotton swab. |
*If the scratch on the pipe is large, the area is cut and removed |
scraping pipe surface to be fused |
4) Slide the pipe completely to the middle of the socket and indicate the depth of insertion in the circumferential direction. 5) Completely scrap a length longer than the length of the marked portion. |
*The scraping depth should be 0.2mm or more. * Use a dedicated scrap tool |
Cleaning socket and pipe |
6) Remove foreign substances by wiping socket and the scraped side of the pipe with a cloth. 7) Push the pipe all the way to the stopper in the middle of the socket. 8) Check that it is inserted up to the marking position. |
*unpacking before fusion may cause pollution, take out and use the product from the plastic packaging just before fusion * Check whether the pipe surface to be fused is polluted with oil, etc. |
Clamping socket | 9) Use a clamp to secure the pipe and socket | * Clamp the pipe and socket so that they are horizontal. |
fusion preparation | 10) Check if fusion machine is suitable for fusing the socket and check the power of the fusion machine. |
*Rer to the data of the fusion machine manufacturer for the suitable operating voltage for the socket. * The degree of contact with the output terminal (loose) and checked for any abnormal contact by rust, dirt, etc. |
Fusion |
11) Connect the output cable connector to connector pin of socket. 12) Press the start button of the fusing machine to proceed with the fusing operation. 13) print out the fusion results after fusion |
*Check that the socket's actual fusion time matches the time displayed on the fusion machine |
Cooling |
14) Cool for a certain period of time. 15) Remove the plug after cooling |
*Refer for table for fusion time and cooling time |
Inspection | 16) After fusion, check with protrusion( indicator.) |
* Care should be taken as the length of the protrusion depends on the space between the pipe and the scoket |
